Joel Boyarsky A"H

It is hard to describe a man as diverse and as eclectic as Joel Boyarsky. Joel was a man who was always behind the scenes yet played roles in that capacity that had a historic influence on world events.
Born in Brooklyn, Joel moved to Long Island as a teenager and became an expert in the field of insurance and pension planning for a wide array of entities from private entities to large Unites States cities.
He opened Improved Funding Techniques Inc., a national consulting and actuarial company for employee pension plans based in Lynbrook, where his success propelled him to use his resources and connections for the betterment of society and Jewish education.
His political acumen and expertise were vital in many operations and decisions that helped ensure the safety of the State of Israel.
Joel was a member at Congregation Beth Shalom, served on the board of Einstein Medical Center among many prestigious institutions.
In his quiet manner, he was a major contributor to Yeshiva of South Shore's Scholarship Fund, and many Sephardic charities in the field of education and aiding the sick and needy. At the onset of Covid, he immediately contributed funds to ensure that any family in need would have the proper resources to purchase food and necessities. Despite his magnanimous generosity, he refused to accept any honor or recognition, always insisting that his name not be displayed.
He leaves behind his loving wife Barbara and his children, Neil & Jennifer Boyarsky and Lisa & Daniel Bystrom, and beloved grandchildren.
