June Rosenberg
The Yeshiva of South Shore mourns the loss of June Rosenberg, of blessed memory, mother of Lee Feil on April 23, 2020, the 29th day of Nissan.
June was an ebullient woman whose love for Jewish tradition was effusive. A native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, she spent the last years of her life near her children, Lee and Jeffrey Feil, on Long Island who cared for her with tremendous love and devotion.
Rabbi Mordechai Kamenetzky, who would visit her in the assisted living facility, remembers her good cheer and perpetual smile, as she would reminisce about her days in Pittsburgh and the rich Jewish life that she led there. During the last visit, before the onset of Covid, she sang joyously with the pre-school children of Yeshiva of South Shore who visited with her and other residents of her assisted living facility.
She was a loving wife to her husband, David, ob”m and her husband David Rosenberg; and a loving mother to her daughter, Eileen "Lee" Feil and her husband Jeffrey, her son, Alan Rosenberg and his wife Sheryl.
She leaves behind her grandchildren, Erika Feil-Lincoln (Matt Lincoln), Joshua Feil (Nell Solley), Brian Feil (Mara), Zachary Rosenberg, Evan Rosenberg and Aubree Shulte (Jimmy); her great grandchildren, Tyler, Ariella, Livie, Layla, Clay, Dakota, Brayden and Levi; her nephews, Steven Stein and Lawrence Stein; and her niece Susan Goldstein.
Yeshiva of South Shore has created the June Rosenberg Memorial Scholarship in her memory to ensure that every Jewish child receives a wholesome Jewish education combined with the best of secular studies.
