Mr. Ira Beer, A"H

Ira Beer, an icon in the food industry world, was a dear friend of Yeshiva Toras Chaim of South Shore for decades.
Together with his wife, Gisele, she should live and be well, he built a home of honesty, integrity, and love for Torah and mitzvos.
Indeed he represented the ideal of Torah in Derech Eretz, both in his love for learning, his reverence for Torah scholars and his impeccable work ethic. His active role in Yeshiva of South Shore where he and Gisele sent their sons, Michael and Jeffry, was vital in the growth and development of Yeshiva of South Shore on Long Island.
As a food service design consultant with his own firm, Beer Associates, he helped many yeshivos, including ours, in designing food service for thousands of yeshiva students across the tri-state area and beyond. He would arrange and host an annual fund-raising event for Jewish members of the food industry in support of Torah education and institutions of chessed across the tri state region and beyond. Our yeshiva was a constant beneficiary of his charity, his wisdom and innovation.
Ira sold his business almost ten years ago and focused his life on learning Torah and acts of chessed. An extremely humble person, he developed a lifelong bond with our Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Binyamin kamenetzky, who cherished him as a dear friend and role model of the epitome of a true Torah businessman.
