Mr. Meir And Mrs. Chana Herschman, A"H

Hannah Herschman (née Calderon) was the daughter of refugees from Thessaloniki, Greece, and Monastir, Yugoslavia.
Her parents arrived in Chile right before WWII, where they joined a larger group of Jews from Monastir founding the southernmost Sephardic community in the world in Temuco, Chile. Hannah lived her entire life with the strongest faith that everything is from Above and for the best. She bestowed that simple emunah to her children and grandchildren as her greatest gift.
Meir Herschman was the son of Polish immigrants from Kielce. He loved the arts and lived inspired by literature, music, painting and art in general. His vast cultural knowledge and thirst for learning was always a wonder and talking to him was an inspiration.
Meir and Channa were the parents of our dear YOSS parents, Dr. and Mrs. Efrayim and Jessica (Herschman) Nudman, and the beloved grandparents of our dear talmidim, Dovid a current student at YOSS and our esteemed alumnus, Yonatan.
